Who can benefit from stem cell hair-loss injections?
Director Kim Serim ·
Stem cell hair-loss injections are a supportive treatment that delivers regenerative ingredients to the scalp to improve the environment around the hair follicles. They help most in the early stage, when hair starts to thin and shed more. For hereditary hair loss, they are meaningful when combined with basic treatment such as oral and topical medication.

We start by checking the cause of hair loss
The reasons for hair loss differ from person to person. There is male- or female-pattern hair loss involving genetics and hormones, telogen effluvium that starts suddenly after stress, childbirth, or dieting, and hair loss caused by scalp inflammation or nutritional deficiency.
Treatment differs by cause, so we first check your scalp condition, hair thickness, and shedding pattern, and run blood tests if needed. For hereditary hair loss, oral and topical medications are the basic treatment.
What role do stem cell hair-loss injections play?
The goal is to deliver regenerative ingredients to the scalp by injection, improve blood flow and the environment around the follicles, and help weakened hair grow thicker again. Rather than replacing medication, we recommend them alongside it for people whose medication alone isn't enough or whose scalp condition has worsened.
At Serene Clinic, we often do this as a hair-loss care program that combines scalp scaling, Mirajet (which pushes medication in without needles), and LED.
The injections fall into two main types: those using stem cell culture ingredients, and those using cells separated from your own blood (autologous blood cells, PBMC). We choose together at consultation based on your scalp condition, budget, and desired treatment period.
Procedure and recovery
After checking your scalp, we inject the areas that need it. Procedures that require a blood draw and preparation take about an hour. You can return to daily life right after, and the injection sites may be briefly swollen or sore.
For 48 hours after the procedure, don't scratch or rub your scalp hard, and avoid saunas, swimming, and strenuous exercise. You can wash your hair from the next day.
When can I see changes?
Hair has a long cycle of growing and shedding. So changes such as less shedding or thicker hair can usually be judged only after 3 months or more. Treatment is often done several times at regular intervals rather than once.
Sleep, nutrition, and stress management also affect results. During treatment, we regularly compare scalp photos and adjust the plan.
Many people also ask whether hair loss can return if they stop treatment. Hereditary hair loss tends to progress, so continuing care is important. Once the scalp is stable, we adjust injection treatment by extending the intervals for maintenance.

Frequently asked questions
I'm taking medication. Can I get the injections too?
Yes, they are often done together. Please tell us about any medication you're taking at your consultation.
Does a single session work?
Given the hair cycle, it's hard to judge after one session. Treatment is usually done several times at regular intervals, and progress is observed over 3 months or more.
Is it available for female hair loss?
Yes. Female hair loss has various causes, such as hormones, anemia, or thyroid issues, so we recommend testing first.
