LEVINAS is a shockwave device by Weyergans of Germany. Instead of heat, it sends physical acoustic energy beneath the skin to stimulate tense, adhered tissue and support circulation.
Serene Clinic does not treat LEVINAS as a device that solves all sagging on its own. We design it as a combination treatment that helps tissue settle comfortably after RF, ultrasound or injectables.

LEVINAS
What is LEVINAS?
LEVINAS uses extracorporeal shockwaves to give mechanical stimulation to the skin and tissue beneath. Because it does not generate heat like RF or ultrasound, the risk of surface burns or heat damage is low.
The shockwave releases tense, knotted tissue and stimulates circulation, helping manage puffiness and tension and supporting skin recovery. Discomfort is low, so it is usually done without anesthesia.
Rather than creating lifting force directly, it focuses on creating a tissue environment in which other lifting treatments can work well.

First we separate what needs releasing from what needs lifting.
Some faces look saggy because tissue has stiffened and circulation has slowed, making them look heavy. In those cases, releasing the tissue first can work better than adding more energy.

Who is LEVINAS right for?
It plays a large role for faces that swell and knot easily, or for those who want comfortable recovery after lifting. If deep sagging itself is the main concern, we build the plan around RF or ultrasound lifting.
Often the two are used together, dividing the plan into lifting care and releasing care.

Is one session enough?
When added as recovery care after lifting or injectables, one session is common. 1,000 shots suit spot care; 4,000 shots or more cover the whole face.
When is the 4-session program considered?
When puffiness and tension keep returning, or when you want steady skin-condition care, sessions are spaced out over time.
At Serene Clinic the number of shots and sessions is the result of the design, not the goal. We suggest them to fit your tissue condition and other treatment plans.

03Does it hurt, and is there downtime?
It feels like a tapping vibration and is usually done without anesthesia. Since it creates no heat, you can resume daily life right after.
04Can I have it on the same day as lifting?
Often yes. Depending on the treatment and your skin's response, recovery care a few days later can be better than the same day, so we decide after examination.
05Is it used for nodules after collagen stimulators?
Yes. If excessive fibrosis or nodules develop after collagen stimulators such as Juvelook Volume or Sculptra, shockwave can be used to help release the tissue. Depending on the condition, it is designed together with other treatments.
06Is it helpful alongside pigment treatment?
Pigment fragments broken up by laser are cleared through tissue circulation. LEVINAS can improve circulation to help those fragments clear out faster.
07How many shots and sessions do I need?
Spot care usually uses 1,000 shots and the whole face 4,000 or more. For recurring puffiness or tension we may suggest the 4-session program.
